ABOUT me and my Work

I am a Mokume Gane artist based in the UK. I create vessels and jewellery that expand the limits of technique and design. Grounded in the ancient Japanese art of fusing layered non-ferrous metals, my creations dive into the infinite possibilities of pattern, texture, movement, and transformation.

Each piece I make serves as a dialogue between material and form, where intricate patterns emerge through a balance of precision and bold experimentation. My vessels encourage tactile interaction, while my jewellery transforms these ideas into intimate, wearable expressions of art.

Pushing the boundaries of Mokume Gane drives my practice. By incorporating modern tools and experimental techniques, I continuously evolve my approach, exploring new methods and embracing the unknown. The act of creation is a conversation between control and surrender, where challenges and triumphs alike contribute to my growth as an artist.

At its essence, my work is fuelled by curiosity and the quest for the unexpected. Each piece embodies that journey of exploration, challenging our boundaries of what is possible.

Born and raised in the UK, I grew up creating and building, spending hours in the garage turning ideas into reality. Initially drawn to engineering, I discovered my true passion in craftsmanship after experimenting with blacksmithing and later, jewellery making. Fascinated by intricate, detailed work, I became captivated by the artistic possibilities of combining science, engineering, and design. Today, I channel my skills into crafting unique pieces that reflect a blend of precision and creativity, embracing the full spectrum of my journey. This is where I thrive at the intersection of art and innovation.
