The spirit, the body and the soul

This piece is also called Swan Maiden, a reference to a mythical creature that shapeshifts from human to swan form. Many different folklore and legends surround them. The most common tale follows the narrative of the swan maiden having her feathered robe stolen by a man who then forces her to marry him. The woman later recovers her skin and flies away. Instead of focusing on the story, I want to focus on her being her own.

The swan represents the spirit, one’s being, our spirit animal.
The woman represents the body, our shell, our vessel, our physical.
The pearl represents the soul, us in our eternal form.

We are everything all at once, composed of many things, so clear yet so wage; we don’t need a definition, only understanding and, most importantly, curiosity.
