Minor Project: Carving in different materials

This is our first-term project of our final year, which aims to prepare us for the second term when we create our graduate collection. The project was meant for us to explore and test fields of interest, which would inform and prepare us for the second term. I explored carving as a technique, expanding from only carving wax to testing and learning about new materials. As a subject, I chose to focus on Hornbills.
We were expected to conduct extensive testing and create several prototypes.

This project significantly helped me discover my aspirations and the maker I want to become.
